We’re building OpenHands, an open source AI agent that can code, run commands, and integrate into real developer workflows. As one of our early engineers, you’ll tackle some of the hardest problems in making AI development tools fast, reliable, and a joy to use. You will help build features, improve performance, and shape a product already being used by developers around the world.

All Hands AI is the company behind OpenHands (formerly OpenDevin), an open source LLM-powered software agent that can write code, run commands, browse the web, and solve real issues from start to finish. Our open source community is active and growing. This role is your chance to contribute to the future of AI-powered development alongside a small, highly skilled team.

You’ll join a collaborative, transparent, and fast-moving environment that works like the best open-source projects, with plenty of opportunities to take ownership, learn from experienced teammates, and see your work in the hands of real users.

What You’ll Do

• Build and ship features for both our open source project and SaaS product
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions
• Contribute to products from implementation to testing and deployment
• Debug and resolve issues across systems
• Participate in architecture discussions and engineering best practices as you grow
• Work with technologies like React, Python, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud

What You Bring

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a small team
• Experience building and shipping production-grade systems
• Interest in AI/LLM-powered developer tools and open source software
• Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to learn
