About the role

We are seeking a Technician to join our Hardware team. Based in our headquarters in Scale Space, White City, London, and reporting to the Cartridge Team Leader, this on-site, lab-based role will involve the preparation and quality control of materials used for cartridge research and development. You will work with experts in molecular biology, electronics, software engineering and mechanical engineering.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare solutions and other materials for cartridge research and development
• Assemble and characterise cartridges by following established protocols
• Identify and document any issues raised by quality-control processes
• Identify areas for improvement in cartridge assembly and quality control
• Maintain an inventory of critical cartridge components

Qualifications

Required:

• Undergraduate degree in a physical or biological science or engineering
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Attention to detail

Desirable:

• Experience in following scientific protocols rigorously
• Experience of working in a biochemistry laboratory
