About the Role:

Scripta is seeking a Senior Director, Pharmacy Strategy & Clinical Operations to serve as Chief of Staff to the Chief Pharmacy Officer (CPO). This highly visible role will lead execution across four critical verticals: National Accounts, Clinical Operations, Thought Leadership, and Sales Support.

You'll serve as both a strategic advisor and operational lead for the CPO—overseeing key clinical initiatives, managing internal pharmacy teams, and ensuring high-quality execution across accounts. This role also acts as the Clinical Account Executive for National Accounts, partnering closely with client-facing teams to deliver value and results.

This is a highly customer-facing and prospect-facing role. The ideal candidate will havestrong communication and consultative skills and will play a key role in the sales process as a clinical subject matter expert (SME)—supporting deal strategy, solutioning, and ongoing engagement with prospects and clients.

As Scripta expands into the health plan market, this individual will also serve as the clinical lead and SME supporting sales and client strategy for health plans. In this capacity, you'll work directly with clinical leaders at payer organizations and help drive adoption of Scripta's solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Operations Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day execution of clinical workflows. Lead and mentor the internal clinical team of pharmacist(s), ensuring alignment with client deliverables and product roadmap
  • Strategic Advisor to the CPO: Collaborate with the CPO to define, prioritize, and execute strategic initiatives across clinical innovation, member tools, and pharmacy cost containment
  • Clinical Account Executive - National Accounts: Serve as the primary clinical liaison for Scripta's largest and most sophisticated client. Lead clinical strategy, deliver high-impact presentations, and ensure a consultative approach to long-term success
  • Health Plan Growth & Consultative Leadership: Act as clinical SME for health plan sales and clinical programs. Serve as a clinical account executive for health plan clients, engaging directly with their pharmacists and clinical leadership teams
  • Sales Enablement & Thought Leadership: Support new business efforts with clinical expertise and materials. Serve as a visible SME during prospect meetings and RFPs. Create thought leadership content, white papers, and presentations that reinforce Scripta's value proposition
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Operations, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Client Success teams to translate clinical strategy into results-driven execution across the business. Create consultant guides to drive clinical expertise across the organization


Qualifications:

  • PharmD required; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in the pharmacy industry preferred; at least 5+ years of experience in pharmacy benefits, PBMs, health plans, managed care, or healthcare tech required
  • Deep expertise in pharmacy claims, benefit design, health plans, and pharmacy analytics
  • Strong client-facing skills with experience supporting sales as a clinical SME
  • Experience working with or for health plans strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to manage clinical teams and lead enterprise client relationships
  • Exceptional communication, consulting, and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment with evolving priorities


Travel Requirement:

  • This role requires up to 50% travel for client and prospect meetings, team collaboration, and industry events
