Shimmer is a public benefit corporation dedicated to supporting adults with ADHD to live the thriving life they deserve. We offer 1:1 ADHD coaching (mix of video/audio & asynchronous) delivered through our app. Our community is rapidly growing and we're looking to grow our passionate ADHD coaching team.

Role overview

We are seeking several experienced and empathetic ADHD Coaches to join our team and assist our members in reaching their goals. The ideal candidate will be experienced in coaching, knowledgeable in ADHD and dedicated to helping our clients create effective strategies to manage their ADHD and lead fulfilling lives.

The successful candidate will join as an Independent Contractor, with an ideal availability of 20-30 hours per week. A commitment of at least 3-6 months is necessary to maintain continuity and relationship building for our members. Successful candidates will work 5 days a week, on their own time. Pay is based on client load and ranges from $26-60/h.

Responsibilities

• Educate clients on the effects of ADHD on their lives and how to navigate them
• Develop personalized strategies to help clients reach their goals
• Monitor the progress of members and adjust strategies as necessary
• Offer members a supportive environment and engage them in healthy conversations
• Facilitate onboarding and weekly coaching sessions with clients
• Provide support via ongoing text chat with clients, including updating tasks, sending resources and checking in throughout the week
• Meet with care or executive team to update on client progress
• De-escalation of emergency crisis scenarios with clients
• Other coaching duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with ADHD coaching for 2+ years, or demonstrated interest & passion in the ADHD space, either through personal or work experience
• A coaching license (ICF or NBHWC preferred) OR hold a related degree/licensure within the special education or health professionals (e.g., PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, Masters in Psychology, Masters in Special Education, etc.) specializing in ADHD
• In-depth knowledge of ADHD and the challenges faced by clients, either through personal or work experience
• Experience maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information & understanding of confidentiality practices
• A high level of organization and time management with the ability to prioritize appropriately during stressful situations
• Exhibited willingness to learn from others, take feedback, and make adjustments to communication and behavior
• Demonstrated interest in self-educating on unfamiliar subjects or concepts related to well-being & ADHD
• Conviction and alignment with Shimmer's mission and values
• Access to stable internet connection with video chat capability. Specifically, a minimum of 3 Mbps download speed and 1 Mbps upload speed that does not drop periodically
